OK I bought the logitech extreme 3D Pro as it was also in the list of controllers in the settings page on DCS.
Who knows maybe you won't like flight sim, many people get frustrated and leave playing within first couple of months. I initially got x-camera and installed that in the plugins folder, but when I tried to use it the camera twitched annoyingly and I found it hard to read the text in the cockpit so I disabled it. My advice is not to spend much on a joystick if it's your first time. Hello I just bought x-plane 11 and I find it absolutely sublime apart from the view controls, which I can't seem to get working. If you really enjoy your experience in flight sim during this couple of months, then you can go for high end sticks like x52, x56, thrustmaster t 16000. Play around with it for couple of months.
